General Information » Places To Stay » Hostels

Sydney is something of a backpacker haven, with plenty of places catering to gap year travellers from Europe and young Aussies out to explore their vast backyard. These places tend to be clustered around vibey areas such as Kings Cross, Bondi and Manly. They are the cheapest way to stay, typically offering a bunk bed in a dormitory room. Most will also have large common areas, kitchens and laundry facilities. Official YHA hostels have no age limit but most guests tend to be young independent travellers. In the popular locations, guests may be limited to a stay of up to seven days.
