General Information » Getting Around » Walking

Sydney is a fun city to walk around as every street brings its own surprises. The CBD is compact enough to be covered in detail in half a day and strolling around is the best way to get your bearings. Pedestrians are catered for with lots of crossings and pedestrian walkways but be aware that buses flash by very close to the kerb. Around Chinatown watch out for the Light Rail, which runs along the street like a tram.
