There are three time zones in Australia. Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) is equal to UCT (formerly GMT) plus 10 hours and followed in New South Wales (except Broken Hill), Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania and Australian Capital Territory. Australian Central Standard Time (ACST) is equal to UCT plus 9.5 hours and followed in South Australia, Northern Territory and Broken Hill (NSW). Australian Western Standard Time (AWST) is equal to UCT plus eight hours. Western Australia follows AWST.



XXX L 4 XXX Daylight Saving

Daylight saving time is observed by New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory from October to the end of March. Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory do not follow daylight savings. Clocks move forward by one hour.
