General Information » Money » Banks

Qatar is fairly well represented by various national banks and a number of international banks, including HSBC and Standard Chartered. The main branches are concentrated along Grand Hamad Street in Doha, with smaller branches throughout the city and elsewhere in the country. Doha Bank even has a Mobile Banking Unit, or bank-on-wheels, that visits different locations. All banks offer money exchange and transfer services. Opening hours are generally 07:30–12:00 Sunday to Wednesday, and 07:00–11:30 on Thursday, but many branches now open for longer, as well as on Saturday and in the evenings.
