Four youth hostels around Paris belong to the French branch of the International Youth Hostelling Network. Most rooms contain four to six beds, while collective living areas allow guests to mingle. All ages are welcome in French hostels, as long as you have purchased a membership card in your home country. Otherwise, purchase a 'Guest Card' at the hostel of your destination. After paying a €2.90 supplement for each of the first six nights, you gain a full one-year membership. Due to hostel popularity, there is a maximum stay limit of four nights.
