For many procedures you’ll have to produce your ‘essential documents’. At the very least, these are:

• Original passport

• Passport copies (including photo page and visa page)

• Passport photos

• Copy of labour card (if you are working)

• Copy of sponsorship certificate for non-working residents

You will need countless passport photos over the coming months, as just about every procedure requires at least one. To save time and money, ask for the negative or a CD with the digital image. Then duplicate photos can be made easily. You’ll also need plenty of passport copies.
