There is no health card as such in Oman. You will need to undergo a medical test as part of your residency process. This involves a blood test, taken at the Ministry of Health clinic in Ruwi, where they will test for infectious diseases and blood type. Your sponsor will advise you on the procedure and perhaps even accompany you to the clinic to assist. When you get to the clinic you will find a very long queue, so to avoid waiting all morning you should get there as early as possible.

Some nationalities are required to produce a health certificate from their home country if they are entering Oman on an employment visa. This test will be a comprehensive report including x-rays and blood tests. Your sponsor should be able to advise you, or you can check www.rop.gov.om (the website of the Royal Oman Police) for more information according to your nationality.
