XXX L 2 XXX Airport Bus Services

There are several bus companies and routes that operate from London’s airports. Journey times vary, and are dependent on the state of the busy traffic. Also, if you have an early morning or late night departure or arrival you should confirm what time the services start and finish. It is worth booking a seat at peak times in case the bus fills up.

From Heathrow – National Express runs coaches to Victoria station from early morning to late night; check for times. The journey takes about 40 minutes and costs £10 one-way, with a coach leaving approximately every 20 minutes. See www.nationalexpress.com for more information and booking details. For late night arrivals or departures, the N9 night bus runs every half hour to Trafalgar Square – check out www.tfl.gov.uk/buses for route and time details.

From Gatwick – National Express coaches take about 80 minutes from Gatwick into town and cost £6.60 one-way. Services leave the airport for central London (Victoria coach station) every hour. See www.nationalexpress.com for further details.

From Stansted – Terravision Express operates two services per hour to Victoria coach station. The single fare is £8.50 and the journey takes roughly 75 minutes. Go to www.lowcostcoach.com for further information.

From Luton – easyBus runs every 40 minutes to Baker Street. It’s a cheap service – fares cost from £1 and the journey takes just under an hour. See www.easybus.co.uk.

From City – since the opening of the Docklands Light Railway, City airport has moved away from using mainly airport shuttle bus services and now utilises the trains. The DLR goes directly to Bank station. The fare is £3 one-way and takes just over 20 minutes. See www.tfl.gov.uk/tube for more information.
