Losing a passport and visa copy in Kuwait is problematic to say the least, particularly if you are in Kuwait on a short visit. It makes a lot of sense to photocopy your documentation and keep it in a safe place, away from the originals.

Should you lose your passport, you will need to advise your embassy/consulate immediately. The loss of a visa copy will need to be reported to your sponsor immediately, so that they may in turn advise the Department of Immigration. Loss of airline tickets needs to be reported to the relevant airline office.

If you have lost an item in your hotel or in a taxi, call them to see if it has been handed in. There are many honest people in Kuwait who will be pleased to reunite you with your lost property. Stolen property should be reported to the police immediately, who will advise on what action may be taken.
