Every overseas traveller should have travel insurance – just in case. If you are only visiting Hong Kong, you can probably take a basic plan without the expensive extras for extreme sports. You might wish there was insurance against overspending on your credit card, but otherwise you’ll find it hard to sign up for anything risky here – no skiing or bungee-jumping, etc.
