You are not required to show any proof of vaccination before entering Hong Kong. If you are visiting for a city holiday, probably all you need to watch out for are mosquitoes. There is no malaria in Hong Kong, but there have been a handful of cases of dengue fever and Japanese encephalitis in the last five years. The chance of you catching either of these is close to zero, but in any case mosquito bites are a pain, so follow the standard guidelines of wearing light-coloured clothing and using insect repellent.

If you plan to work and live in Hong Kong for an extended period, it is typically recommended that you get vaccinations (or boosters) for Hepatitis A and B, Tetanus, Diptheria, Measles and Typhoid. Check with your regular healthcare provider before you leave home to get the latest information, preferably at least a month before you go, as some treatments need to be started before the trip begins.
