The dress code in Geneva is informal and almost anything goes. Clothes that are especially provocative or unusual are likely to attract attention and stares, just like anywhere else. For restaurants, bars and nightclubs the dress code will depend on the rules of each particular establishment, and you’ll probably find that jeans are not acceptable in the more upmarket places. For work and business, those who hold positions in upper management will most likely have to adhere to a fairly strict dress code, but for middle and lower management work attire is quite casual. At many of the outdoor swimming pools women sunbathe topless without turning too many heads.
