Geneva is fairly child friendly with lots of parks and playgrounds all around town. When the weather is warm enough for swimming, the open air pools have separate sections for toddlers. The tourist information office on Pont de la Machine sells a small booklet (SFr 3) listing the playgrounds in Geneva and what they have to offer. In summer there are usually plenty of temporary amusement parks and fairgrounds which should keep the kids happy. For more information on what you can do in Geneva with children, refer to the Activities section [p.169].

Some shopping malls have babysitting facilities for toddlers and young children (they don’t usually take babies). Many of the hotels are more welcoming to business travellers than tourists so you should check what services they offer for children before you confirm your booking. Similarly, not all restaurants have highchairs, but there are quite a few that do, and most family restaurants have children’s menus.
