General Information » Places To Stay » Places To Stay

Apart from having the highest concentration of luxurious five-star hotels per area, Dubai also has plenty of four-, three-, two- and one-star hotels, hotel apartments and youth hostels.

A new hotel seems to spring up every few months, and local folk have often wondered how all of Dubai's hotels are going to stay afloat. But in true 'if you build it, they will come' style, room occupancy rates have soared over the last few years, and there are certain times of the year when you can't find a hotel vacancy for love nor money. As of the end of 2005, there are now over 27,000 hotel rooms in Dubai.

Apart from offering you the best levels of service and facilities, most hotels also offer a visit visa service. If you are not one of the 33 nationalities listed on the 'visa on arrival' list, your hotel can take care of all the paperwork for you. Your visa will be deposited at the airport for collection on arrival. The cost for this service is around Dhs.180 for a regular visa or Dhs.280 for an urgent visa.
