General Information » Essential Info » Health Requirements

No health certificates are required for entry to Spain. No vaccinations are required either, although being up to date on your anti-tetanus jabs is recommended if you plan to visit the countryside. In extremely rare circumstances, Spanish authorities can demand that you undergo medical examination to make sure you're not carrying any illness requiring quarantine. EU citizens are advised to bring a European Health Card (EHC), so they can receive free or reduced-cost treatment in the Spanish public health system.
