General Information » Culture & Lifestyle » National Dress

Perhaps the closest thing to a Catalonian national costume is the uniform worn by castellers. Castells is a tradition of human tower building, with teams in most towns. The most important meeting of the castellers is in Valls on St Ursula’s Day. The uniform consists of a pair of loose white trousers, a sash and varying coloured shirts, depending on the town represented. For Castelling as a spectator sports, see p.xxx. If you fancy a go yourself, see p.xxx.
