Oman Off-Road Routes: Muscat - Dibba Road Route

Muscat - Dibba Road Route

The route from Muscat runs parallel to the coast towards Dibba, travelling through the Batinah plain – a main agricultural area and the second most populous region in Oman. The dual carriageway takes you along the top of the horseshoe-shaped Ar Rustaq – Nakhal Loop, which heads inland from the main Highway 01, towards the Hajar mountains and back again. Highway 13 heads south to Nakhal and its marvellous fort before swinging west towards Ar Rustaq. Highway 11 then runs north to return to Highway 01. Five routes are accessed from this circuit, with most being less than a two-hour drive from Muscat.
