Oman Off-Road Routes: Jabal Shams

With two of the biggest attractions (literally) in Oman, it is hardly surprising that this is such a popular destination. Jabal Shams is the highest point in Oman, while Wadi an Nakhur (the 'Grand Canyon of Oman') has some of the most stupendous views in the Sultanate. The Abandoned Village Walk (W6) cuts a fine line between the two, and is arguably the best easy hike you could do in the whole country.
